The lack of minority therapists is the reason I am pursuing Marriage and Family Therapy. It is important for minorities to feel represented in their mental health care. I am deeply committed to cultural competency and social justice in my practice. My education and experiences working for the New Jersey Department of Child Protection have exposed me to the importance of understanding and respecting diverse cultural backgrounds. I believe that therapy should be inclusive and accessible to all, and I am dedicated to ensuring that I provide culturally sensitive and equitable care.
